From electrical variables to actionable indicators

The Electrical Energy Efficiency module brings together consumption, cost, demand and operating metrics with one aim: turning electrical variables into indicators that cut cost, improve use of installed capacity and sustain an efficiency strategy.

Consumption and cost by tariff period

The dashboard summarises the period across Base, Intermediate and Peak windows plus the total, showing energy consumed (kWh) and associated cost for each. That breakdown shows where spend concentrates and is the starting point for shifting load.

Performance metrics

  • Load factor: peak demand against average demand. A low factor means high peaks with poor average utilisation — and therefore room to cut maximum demand and capacity charges.
  • Energy intensity: kWh per unit produced, energy cost per unit and tCO₂ per unit, where the site supplies production data.
  • EnPIs: tracking energy performance indicators with a productivity lens.

Quantified savings opportunities

The Energy efficient strategy – Savings opportunities module does more than describe consumption: it identifies specific opportunities, quantifies them and attaches a recommendation.

What each opportunity reports

  • Energy — energy associated with the opportunity (kWh).
  • Cost — electrical cost of that energy, using the Load Centre's tariff scheme.
  • Saving — estimated saving percentage.
  • Ton CO₂ Save — tonnes of CO₂ avoidable by implementing the action.
  • A Savings vs consumption chart and the evaluated period.
A closing block consolidates the period: total energy, total cost, total estimated saving and total CO₂ reduction.

The recommendations it produces

Each opportunity ends in a concrete action, classifiable as investment (CAPEX) or as a change in operation and energy discipline (OPEX):

  • Lighting sensors in office areas.
  • Variable frequency control (VFD) for motors.
  • Charging forklift batteries in the morning.
  • Inverters on HVAC equipment.
